Hello and welcome back to… The very last episode of The Thought Leader Club Podcast. As you may have guessed, our beloved podcast is rebranding and we will be entering a new era! I am so proud and delighted to share that the Thought Leader Club podcast will be evolving into EDIT HISTORY, a show where successful entrepreneurs and creators revisit, review, and roast the content that got them to where they are today.
So here’s the thing… If you’ve been creating content online for a while now, then chances are, there is content you’ve posted a year ago where you look back at and cringe 😳 Now you’re thinking “Should I just archive or delete this?” You might think this is just you, but every entrepreneur and creator feels this way – even the biggest and most successful ones.
On EDIT HISTORY, we speak with entrepreneurs and creators to take a look at their past content to dissect the content they no longer resonate with – And why 👀 We will revisit past ideas and discuss how we would reinterpret, revise, or critique this content so you can get actionable insights into what to do (or what NOT to do). Every episode is a case study where you get to learn how to think critically about your own content strategy.
In addition to the content critiques, we’ll explore how entrepreneurs and creators experience, process, and work through the inevitable insecurities that creating content online exposes all of us to — from comparisons and competition to FOMO and self-doubt — and create content that both works for their business, and is truly, authentically them.
Creating online isn’t easy. But by examining the edit history of successful entrepreneurs and creators, we can learn how to navigate the challenges, develop our unique voice, and ultimately create content, a business, and a life that we’re proud of.
SO. MUCH. FUN.

There are two key reasons why the podcast is rebranding:
First, this is a very unique show concept in my opinion. I have yet to see another podcast with the exact same show format and concept, and I’m excited to bring value to you all in this way, through this show format and show concept.
There are two things I think are worth noting here:
First: I am very, very confident that the conversations we will have with our guests on EDIT HISTORY are things you have NOT heard these guests say on other podcast interviews they’ve done before.
Second, I will be asking questions that…. Honestly can make our guests uncomfortable. For example, maybe ill ask “ For this piece of content, Were you trying to copy or model after someone?” or maybe “Did you study someone’s content and try to reverse engineer what made them successful?”
These questions aren’t meant to embarrass the guest. Rather, I want us to have a good chuckle over our past content and mistakes, and show that “Hey, even if you’re not proud of your work right now… You have room for growth. You CAN find your unique voice. You WILL develop your own perspectives and ideas” …. THAT, is the essence of EDIT HISTORY. To embody not just possibility, but also how we are all a work in progress.
And this new show concept and format is going to allow us to do exactly that.
Second, I am committed to stretching my skills as a podcaster.
Long story short, I’ve come to a point where it’s clear that if I want to continue elevating the substance and depth that I bring to this podcast… Then I’ve got to immerse myself in situations, environments, or conversations where I am required to step up to the plate and elevate how I think, what I say, and what I do. And frankly, continuing to just rinse and repeat what has been “working” for my podcast and business is no longer going to cut it. What got me here is not going to get me where I want to go, especially as a podcaster.
To be honest, I feel that I’ve hit a plateau with how much I can create new concepts and frameworks around how I see thought leadership. There was a period of time where my brain was bursting with new ideas, but those creative outbursts became more and more infrequent in recent months. But now… AI can probably do the job better than I can at this point when it comes to educational or tips-based content.
If I were to make a guess as to why that is, it’s likely because I haven’t been stepping out of my comfort zone both in my business and outside of my business. I myself have slowed down my own learning and development, and it is reflected in how much I can contribute to you all, our podcast listeners.
And so, I am committing to stretching my skills as a podcaster so this podcast can continue to add value to listeners. And that’s why I’ve intentionally decided on the new show format. Rather than it being a solo monologue podcast where I’m teaching or sharing my recent stories, reflections, ideas, and observations… We are switching to a new format where not only are you and I both going to learn from our guests – which includes their perspectives as well as lessons and mistakes from their past content- but I will also add my own critical reflections and analysis in every episode.
So… These are the two driving factors behind the rebrand into the next era of this podcast. Personally, this decision aligns with the direction I want to go towards as a podcaster, AND, I am confident that the new iteration of the podcast is going to create value for you all in a much more elevated and sophisticated way.
Now, for those of you who have enjoyed the Thought Leader Club podcast or the Side Hustle Club podcast, those episodes aren’t going to disappear from the internet anytime soon. They will still be available on audio streaming platforms such as Spotify and on YouTube as well.
Speaking of The Thought Leader Club and Side Hustle Club… There are a few threads and core values from the past iterations of the podcast that will be carried over to the new show. For instance, the new show will continue to embody ideas such as:
As you can see, some of the core elements that make this podcast what it is will continue to play an integral role in the podcast even with the rebrand.
To the OGs of the show who were part of the Thought Leader Club and/or Side Hustle Club, I cannot wait for you to continue the journey with me through EDIT HISTORY. You will definitely recognize elements from the past show that are well-loved, AND at the same time, there will be fresh new conversations, super interesting ideas, and practical insights that you can implement in your own body of work and business. Trust me – EDIT HISTORY is going to be a show like no other.
Now… on a more personal note…. I think that there will always, ALWAYS, come a time when we as the entrepreneur or creator will mature and evolve into our next evolution. Whether this is the natural learning and growth that we all go through, or maybe it’s entrepreneurial spirit to continually innovate and pivot and adapt…. Whatever it is, I personally believe that rather than clinging to what used to work, I want to honor the evolution that’s BURSTING to come through.
To the listeners who have played a role in the Thought Leader Club and Side Hustle Club…. I truly mean it when I say thank you. Thank you. Thank you for listening to the show and for continuing to support the show even as it went through changes, both in the past and right now.
Because of your support, the Thought Leader Club was shortlisted for the 2024 Asia Podcast Awards in the “Best Money and Business Podcast” category, and the Side Hustle Club won the 2023 Golden Crane Award in the “Best Entrepreneur/Solopreneur Podcast” category. These incredible achievements would NOT have been possible with out you all. So, thank you. Thank you thank you thank you.
Looking back, there’s so much to be proud of when it comes to this podcast. And looking ahead, I am BEAMING at all of the possibilities and opportunities for growth.
So, with that, please look forward to our first episodes on EDIT HISTORY. As always, thank you so much for tuning into the show, and I’ll see you all on our next episode.
